The use of wall cladding stone has been widely used for environments with a rustic but differentiated style. This blend of nature rests harmoniously with modern decorative items resulting in an interesting environment. Its use is so versatile that it can pass from external areas to internal like: rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, cellars and balconies.
The choice of stone and cut will be according to the taste of the resident. For this we separate here some types that are most used in this aspect:
- Slate: resistant and low cost, used more in gray color.
- Pebbles: with the rounded shape, we can find them in the colors: brown, white, yellow, black and gray.
- Stone wood: combines with rustic environments and reminds the tones of wood so it has earthy tones.
- Portuguese stone: seen a lot in pavement lining. Now widely used in wall which results in modern and contemporary environments.
- Pedra São Thomé: normally seen in pool area on the walls create a rustic style in the environment. It has a smooth and regular appearance, in yellow and light colors.
- Miracema: sturdy stone with great durability and beauty.
- Pedra Goiás: with a great decorative effect and thermal insulation.
Since the cut will depend on which area it will be coated, if it is on external walls it is ideal the larger stones with relief and strong colors that take impact to the space. Indoors, you have three choices: canjiquinha, toothpick, fillets or mosaics. This choice will depend on the proposal of the space, look in those inner areas for something softer of little relief.
Despite being a different element the stone can maintain the modern or classic look of your space. See how in our special gallery:
