Types of Porcelain: 60+ Models, Photos & Ideas

At the time of construction or renovation it is important to opt for suitable materials so that in the future it will not cause you any inconvenience. The choice of flooring is one of the doubts that may arise. Porcelain tile is preferred when it comes to decoration and practicality. But first you need to know a little more about it.

The porcelanato is a tiled floor and in the market there are infinite models and suppliers at your disposal. Check before your endurance, environment, whether it is wet area or a social room. Using it in the whole house, for example, will depend on the performance of the product. In the bathroom, the tendency of stains and slipping is much greater than in the bedroom or living room. So that there is no error in the time of the choice, we separated some types of porcelanato:

  • Polished: has this name because it receives a polishing and a layer of protection. It has a smooth surface and therefore its brightness is intense. It leaves the modern environment and is indicted for dry areas: rooms, rooms, corridors. This is the most common of porcelain tiles, as it is the most used in residential projects.
  • Enamelling: has a layer of enamel. It can have a smooth, rough, glossy or matt finish. If you look at the PEI of the porcelanato, which is nothing more than the resistance of it. The longer the more resistant and durable PEI is the porcelain glaze.
  • Struturato: with a stronger finish, is perfect for wet areas.
  • Natural: with matt surface, leaves the atmosphere cozy. This type is very used in commercial projects, because it is resistant and not slippery.
  • Acetinate: has a lower gloss finish, and therefore has a satin appearance. This model is less tiring to the eyes, having less brightness and leaves the environment even cozier, ideal for rooms and bedrooms.
